It’s a truth pretty universally acknowledged, that a lot of the geek guides to dating you will find out there are geared towards the antiquated stereotype of a teenaged male who never leaves his basement.
While I knew of her poetry and other forays into writing, I was not aware that she drew until I saw this exciting announcement on Twitter a few days ago.
It’s no surprise that the idea of her contributions to a geek girl anthology have sparked wild enthusiasm in the online community.
will include written stories, original art and comics from people like Kate Leth, Sam Maggs, Renee Nault, Jen Bartel, Trina Robbins, Rachel Deering, Marguerite Bennett, and Katie West, as well as many others.
The cover will be done by Gisèle Lagacé and Shouri.
The Geek’s Guide to Dating was my first published humor book, with Quirk Books back at the end of 2013. It made a few Best Books of the Year lists, and it’s sold into seven languages so far, with a few more on the way I can’t quite talk about yet. It’s my lil’ book that keeps on going, and I love it. She’s a rockstar when it comes to foreign rights, and I love seeing this little book pop up everywhere. Looks like The Geek’s Guide to Dating is on sale for the month of February!
